On a hill in the Loire-Anjou-Touraine National Park, you will find Domaine de la Boissière. This wonderfully peaceful domaine lies just outside the village of Marigny-Marmande. The domain has its origins already in the 16th century and has seen much of the history of the Loire region and France.
From our beautiful location, you have many unique views of the landscape and you can go for a walk into the forest of La Boissière, or you can enjoy a picnic at the water source of La Boissière.

When you walk in, you imagine yourself in the Middle Ages by the authentic fireplace and the original ceiling with oak beams. From this gite you have a beautiful view on our linden tree. The gite is equipped with a comfortable box-spring bed, a bath and a separate kitchen.

SURROUNDINGS
We are located in the national park of Loire-Anjou-Touraine, in the land of Richelieu. This region is named after Armand Jean du Plessis, Cardinal of Richelieu. Known to many from the book The Three Musketeers by Alexandre Dumas.

Our largest gite still has the authentic fireplace and original ceiling. From the living room you can see the well and from the bedroom you have an unobstructed view of the landscape. The gite is equipped with a separate living room, a lovely box-spring bed to sleep on and has a separate kitchen.

In 2019, we spent our first holiday as a family in the Loire region and immediately fell in love with the area and the lovely people here… while sitting on a cafe terrace in Richelieu, our dream of buying a beautiful house nearby and creating gites began.
By the end of 2020, we have become the owners of our dream home, Domaine de la Boissière. Situated on a hill with a swimming pool and a forest in our backyard. After the first renovations we can now proudly say that we have two gites and we hope to have the pleasure to welcome you soon to make your holiday a wonderful relaxing treat.

For the kids
For the children, there is a lovely swimming pool and a large garden where they can play football, archery, swing and more. They have a large lawn and a piece of the forest at their disposal where they can have great adventures and build huts to their heart’s content.
In the large forest next to the domain, you can go for a walk and spot wild animals like deer, badgers, foxes and wild boars.
Into nature
The beautifully landscaped garden has a variety of plants and trees, a vegetable garden, various fruit and nut trees. In the garden are beautiful large oak trees of up to 350 years old where we regularly get squirrels and a wide variety of birds visiting, such as the nightingale. Behind the large lawn is a piece of private forest where the large forest begins. Here you can make beautiful walks and spot various wild animals.
Simply enjoy
Relax immediately upon arrival and let yourself be treated to a delicious dinner. You can also choose to enjoy breakfast the next morning. If you want to eat out, there are plenty of options in the area and we are happy to advise you.
The gites are fully equipped with their own kitchen, so you can also do your own cooking. Of course the beds are made upon arrival and there are clean towels and kitchen towels ready in the gite.
By the pool
Take a dip in the heated pool with a unique view of the village of Marigny-Marmande. Relax on one of the sun loungers or curl up in the hammock with a good book. The swimming pool is enclosed all around with a fence for the safety of the little ones. Our swimming pool is equipped with bromine instead of chlorine. This substance has no annoying chlorine smell, does not irritate the skin and eyes, is lime-free and pH neutral.
